Should Pac continue to fight after this year? Should he play the role of Oscar De La Hoya, and continue to fight and increase his legacy, but at the same time give other fighters a chance to get a good pay day whether Pac wins or loses against them? He is the big money guy after all. It would seem a waste if he just walked away from the sport where most boxers, even top boxers, make little money. Your thoughts please :thumbsup

It depends how much punches he has taken by the end of the year. I mean his defense is not the best, so you never know.

There's only one more opponent (Floyd) out there for him. I don't feel he should be obliged to fight anyone else.

If he takes on and beats Floyd, then he would have achieved everything a fighter could dream of (not that he hasn't done it already). There wouldn't be anything else left for him to prove, and he rightfully should enjoy his well earned retirement.

However if he loses (particularly a close decision), then i'd like to see him have one more go at Floyd before retiring.

yeah, if he fights Floyd & wins...he has nothing more to prove...if he loses...maybe fight Mosley and re-match JMM then retire

Wouldnt it be great to see a Pac-Mayweather trilogy. We havent had a big time trilogy in years.

At these higher weights - bad idea.

At 135 or even SFW - knock yourself out, Manny (figuratively...knock others out literally...:D)

Imagine how empty this place would be if he retired.

The question is would the IQ score go UP or DOWN if Manny retired?

    I'm sure Pacquiao can't make 130 anymore.

He struggled to make weight bigtime in his last 2 there and has since bulked up and stuff.

I'm not sure making 135 would be healthy at this point.

In an ideal world, he would dip down to 140, beat Bradley some time in July, and then move back up to 147 and go out with a bang in december, against the winner of Mosley/Floyd

I dont mind him retiring if he fights FM first.... if he retires before fighting FM then he should go down as a cherry picking piece of **** IMHO.

He should retire if he doesn't want to get outclassed by Mayweather.

Floyd's done. I don't see either budging on the random blood tests.

Fight Timothy Bradley, Fight Andre Berto...call it a night.
