Seemed to me that a relatively mediocre fighter like Hatton was able to enjoy some minor successes early on by doing this, one of his jabs in the first rocked PBF, and you could make a case for him winning a couple of those early rounds. Should Pac attempt to do likewise?
Hatton was thoroughly beat...he may have won a round. I didnt do any effective punching throughout the fight. How do you call that success? If you mute the volume you will see a different fight...
I'm tired of this myth. Hatton did not enjoy any success. That one jab that caught Floyd off-balance was his highlight of the fight. He got dominated and was never even in the fight. When Floyd stepped out of 2nd gear he got KO'd by the ring post. End of. And no. If you stalk Floyd like that, you are asking for a schooling.
First off his jab didn't rock PBF. PBF tripped over Hatton's foot.:deal Second there can be no case made for him wining no more than 1 round in that fight. Also coming forward without a jab andcutting off the ring will lead you to getting a boxing lesson.
Pac just has to be Pac. Hatton probably surprised Mayweather by charging at him like that. I wouldn't call it a walk down. Its more like a lunging forward. Hatton's lunges lead to devastating counter hooks as we've seen time and again.
yeah if you think getting koed in the 10th rd is sucess. anyway, pacquiao is not a fighter that "walks you down" like. he needs to do what he does best and that is give angels, mover around, go in and out. this makes it more difficult for mayweather to time him, as oppose to coming straight forward.
First 3 were close if I remember right, Hatton landed some leaping left hooks, not much else. Mayweather also gave Hatton the 5th. After that it was a beating.
In and out, awkward angles, non-stop punching, powerful combinations, pinpoint counterpunching, great footwork and head movement.
