Should Pacquaio lose his P4P spot if he loses to DLH?

Personally to me, no, he shouldn't. This fight will be 35 lbs north of where Pac won his first title. In reality he stands little chance, DLH is bigger, stronger and SHOULD just manhandle Pacquaio.

    What do you think?

No he shouldn't, but he might. Fighters have been moved down the P4P lists before for losing to fighters in higher weight divisions.

No, I still think he would be number 1, especialy with Calzaghe retiring next week.

Yes I already had him losing to JMM and this would be another loss. He is choosing the dlh fight so if he gets beat down and calzaghe wins decently against rjj then I will put #1 calzaghe.
Pac would be #2 unless JMM produces something good before pac fights again.

If pac then rematched DLH and lost would you still keep him #1 all things being equal?

    Depends.

If he loses badly, like an early knockout, and then Calzaghe knocks Roy out... he could be displaced. But if it's a decision loss where he held his own, far above his optimal weight, then I'll keep him there.

He's stepping up 12lbs from a division that he has only had one fight in to take on an elite level fighter who has been at 154lbs for the past few years. Barring perhaps a first or second round knockout loss, I won't move him.

    Yes.

There are no fights without any retribution. No fighter - and especially no p4p fighter - should be granted any random fight and be free from consequences.

Pac chose the fight - The consequences are Pac's win or loose.

I disagree that he lost to JMM but thats where we differ.

If he lost and rematched and lost then yes.

Thats the problem. Hes fighting a bull**** fight because he knows its a win win scenario in terms of financial reward and minimal consequences of losing. A loss is a loss though and ill probably bump him back to second on my list, though if he is highly competitive in losing he would most likely remain at the top.

Yes, of course. This isn't a ****ing charity. If he takes a risk like this simply to get paid a tremendous amount of money and get a ton of exposure he deserves to get dropped out of the #1 spot if he loses.

if calzaghe is the p4p king and is fighting wlad and lose, i wouldn't bump him down even if pac looked good in demolishing a used to be great fighter like casamayor (roy jones) since wlad is much bigger than joe. if pac did fought presently great or good fighters like jmm or campbell and beat them, then he has a case.

There was a HUGE thread on this a couple of weeks ago and a lot of Pac fans refused to accept even the possibility of Pac getting dropped no matter what the result. They really were in denial that it just might happen if Pac lost badly.

in reality, this is the scenario that would likely happen. the ring magazine would look at this based on the situation.

He should lose his number 1 spot. Hes not number 1 anyways. But he should still be in the p4p list and the loss shouldnt affect his rank
