There is absolutely nothing wrong with Pac vs. Clottey. I don't know what the **** happened to so-called fans who think this is a bad fight, or that Clottey is a bad opponent.

How did he **** it up?, you say that with a Cotto avatar which is VERY ironic. Last I remember Cotto went life and death with Clottey recently with MANY scoring that fight a draw, for Clottey or Cotto by ONE POINT, meaning it was a close fight so Clottey isn't exactly a joke of an opponent.

Looking at Clottey's style he could give Pac HELL like no one expects when you know well how he intentionally uses his head as a third, and sometimes MAIN, punch. Pac has been butted before and has been cut as well being a southpaw running into clean orthodox fighters, imagine him going against a dirty one who's also bigger and possibly stronger physically?

This isn't a popularity contest, it's a sport. He beat the WBO champion and now challenges the guy who gave the PREVIOUS WBO champion hell and possibly WON in many people's eyes. Nothing is wrong with giving Clottey a chance. You want him to fight Margarito instead?

 

I'm not the biggest Pac fan in the world, but I give hm credit for taking a fight so dangerous.:good

You got to be some kind of nutcase if you think Clottey isn't dirty or just someone who hasn't seen enough, obviously.

Even though some butts were/seemed intentional by Ward not ALL were, in Clottey's case almost ALL of his headbutts are CLEARLY intentional, he's even terrible at hiding it and you can see it in his eyes. He did it intentionally to Margarito ENDLESS times, Baldomir, Corrales, Cotto and almost everyone else he fought.

Ok, the OP and the chorus he's a part of are completely ******ed. I don't know who lit upon the conclusion that Clottey is a bad fighter, but whoever did it clearly doesn't watch boxing and doesn't care to start. Clottey beat the hell out of every one of those boxers who somehow took wins away from him. He didn't sort of beat them; if the fight had gone 20 rounds, he might have killed them. Margarito was the only one who could have survived, and that was only because Clottey broke a wrist while punching Margario in the face. Even after that, Margarito received a beating.

Clottey is a fighter that is technically perfect, with fast hands, immense physical strength, and one of the better defensive games in boxing. There is absolutely no one else like him, and you can bet your ass that Mayweather wouldn't have taken a fight against that guy unless his life depended on it. Stop denigrating Joshua Clottey. It's embarrassing. The man has proved himself again and again. He has fought top contenders in the WW division and while he somehow lost, he was never out of it and always left the other man bloodied and bruised. Clottey himself hasn't even had a cut.

And on top of that, Clottey is a *dirty* fighter. He's elbows, head butts, and wrestling. He will wear you out physically and he will punish you with his boxing skills. He's like the graduated version of Casamayor, but with better defense. Yeesh. Stop pretending that he's an outclassed fighter. This is going to be a close one. Here's a more interesting point: what will Mayweather do if he's victorious over Shane and Clottey defeats Pacquiao? Clottey is a frightening opponent. He hurts people and makes them look awful. Do we really think that Mayweather would be willing to step into the ring with someone like that?
