Team Pacquiao took this fight with the expectation that Clottey was going to beat himself. It was a transparent choice, and one of the accompanying reasons I have no intention of supporting this "event," among other reasons.
Now I don't know if there is going to be an immediate re-match between Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams but I believe Manny should have given Paul Williams a shot. I think the lat time Williams fought at welterweight was the rematch against Carlos Quintana and that was only one round. He has been fighting junior middle and middleweight since. Williams does seem like a dangerous opponent because of his height and consistent punching but as he ages, so does his body. It may not be easy for him to get to welterweight and when he does, will he fight the same. Quintana beat him by landing punches at different angles and I believe this would be a good test for both Williams and Pacquiao.
The cool thing to consider is Clottey beating Pacman and then being the *real* bad boy at WW instead of the fake bad boy that is Pretty Boy Floyd. Clottey is dirty and ruthless. Furthermore, he can wander into weight classes that PBF and Pac could never even consider addressing. I know Sugar Shane and PBF fans are all over that match, but this is the truly important fight; if Clottey wins, *everything* changes. All roads go through Clottey. Can you imagine that?
You got things ass-backwards there, Bazooka. And you're comin' across as a hater. Your boy wasn't up for the fight. Never was. Deal with it and move on. (And the thing of it is, Floyd's the bigger, better boxer of the two and should be the favourite. He just doesn't have the balls)
OH MY! You not supporting this is such a loss to the sport ! Please don't do this! :huh:huh:huh:huh:huh
