Should Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 be for the linear welterweight title?

    Floyd hasnt fought in a long time and was even dropped off the p4p ratings and Ortiz two fights ago had a draw with peterson :-(. Marquez is a way better fighter than Ortiz and I think he would beat Ortiz at 143. A linear title should only be fought when the number 1 fighter at the weight is involved and thats Pac.

    What??? It should be for both the linear lightweight and linear welterweight title because Marquez is the best lightweight. And they should also add the linear junior middleweight because Pac already beat the number 1 junior middleweight. And since Pac is also the last to hold the linear junior welterwright, they should also add this. So four linear titles in one fight.

    No pac vs ortiz would have been for the linear title since pac is # 1 and ortiz is # 2. The winner of ortiz-floyd vs pac would be for the linear WW title.

    Neather has won a welterweight championship. Pacquiao's catchweight championship dose not count. How can their fight be for the linear championship.
