Not after a first round KO in the rematch. I think Williams has made enough of an impression in his past few fights -- stopping Phillips and Kolle impressively -- that it isn't warranted unless Quintana does something definitive really soon.

No Margarito should stop being a ****** and rematch Williams. And his fans should start trying to put Williams in with everyone from 147 to 160 hoping for Williams to lose.

No. The rematch left no unanswered questions.

I don't see a need for a rubber match, but if Quintana does well at 154, we could very well see it.

Well, what I saw was Quintana out hustling Williams in their first fight.

Then Quintana got KTFO in the rematch in round 1.

Who's to say Quintana wouldn't get as careless in the rubber and outhustle Williams once again??

    After all they are 1-1.

In a perfect world, there would be a rubbermatch. But, Im guessing Williams has moved on. I dont think we will see him at 147 anymore.

Besides Williams, 3 out of the Top 5 are promoted by Arum who wants nothing to do with Paul Williams. Mosley being the other.

EDIT - No, no need for a rubbermatch. The first fight was 7-5 and with an unfocused Williams. The rematch sealed the no need for a 3rd match.

The nature of the first round KO is damning to Quintana - but in actuality, Quintana was teeing off on Williams like it was the 13th round of the first fight as the rematch got underway. If not for the fact that Quintana got overly aggressive, and then failed entirely to cover up and protect himself after he got hurt, he may have won the second fight going away. Williams was very fortunate (lucky) for Quintana's lack of intelligence and professionalism. A third fight would make sense - in actuality. But Quintana doesn't have fans willing to stand up for him.

I'd like to see it. Neither fight was a let-down, so why not?

Williams probably wins again, but Carlos makes it competetive.

Thats like saying Roy Jones should have had a third fight with Montell Griffin.

Its a no win sitution for Williams, if he wins then he was suppose to win and he was taking a easy fight..Plus Im not sure that any of the networks would be interested in that fight...Maybe if Quintana does some things a third fight should be in order.

His last 2 fights were above the 147 limit. He just won a WBO belt at 154. And, he is 6'2.
