I dont keep up with the top level of the sport in the way that I used to, partially because I dont have showtime or the ability to order PPV
so I might not have as complete of a picture as some fans
but if pavlik isnt top 10 he is close
he went the distance with B hop, who is IMO an ATG
he beat a guy 2wice who beat b hop
and he is still young, still only one loss and for his age he has fought a decent amont
I think in or around the p4p top 10

Nope. He was already too high before the Hopkins fight.

When Cotto lost to Margarito he stayed in the top ten so while Pavlik should drop down, it shouldn't be that far considering BHop is top ten as well.

Margarito didn't dominate Cotto the way Hopkins did Pavlik though, so I don't know, but I say sure, keep him top ten. Why not?

    Why not?
He's the current MW king, moved up in weight and got beat by another P4P, and futer HOF.....After Joe schooled Hopkins, Bhop remained in the P4P rankings. If one is right than why is the other wrong?:huh

A close decision loss is not the same as a shutout loss.

I could care less how the judges had it!! Take away the 1st round and you have a total domination by the Welshman. Sure the fight looked ugly but that doesnt change the fact

It's not about how the judges scored it, there are some people who scored the fight to Hopkins, I had Calzaghe winning 7-5, the point being that it was close. Saying Calzaghe dominated is just as absurd as saying Hopkins clearly won.

The best you could give Pavlik is one round, it was not a competitive bout, Calzaghe-Hopkins was. Totally different situations as I see it.

Not really cobra. When Hopkins wasnt trying to ruin the fight, he was getting his ass handed to him by calzaghe....That fight was NOT competitive. Kessler-Calzaghe was competitive. Hopkins-Calzaghe=fail
