I'm talking about his ring belt here. Foreman lost his belts for fighting journeymen, the same should happen to Pavlik.

He got anhilated off B-Hop and i'm sure sturm would box circles around him.

    He ducked abraham for years.

The guy doesn't deserve to be a champ, he went from "almost dead" to signing a fight with another bum.

Ring belt cannot be stripped so the answer is no.

    End thread.

Yeah, the Ring belt can only be lost by being defeated in the ring, retiring or leaving your weight class/retiring from your division, I think.

strep (I mean staph) is a bad thing, he should voluntarily give it up if he can't fight

There is no doubt about it... Pavlik is a wank "champion" Since winning the title back in 2007 he succesfully defended against Taylor in a rematch and beat some bum called Gary Lockett.

No, he's had two defenses, neither against Taylor.

Lockett and Rubio. Taylor rematch was non-title catchweight.

he's 27 and still has his straps. he has time to turn things around and rebound from these injuries and setbacks.

He's fought his mandatories. That's that. Heck, the guy he's facing is still ranked by both sanctioning bodies. Should Calzaghe have been stripped for fighting bums for 4 years?

exactly. anyone saying they are pleased with pavlik's progress is lying. anyone saying that pavlik has made all the right decisions is a little too loyal. however, he's doing what he has to and he should get into the hagler mindset that i think he once had: knock out mandatories, build up the resume, fight who i have to and the big fights will come to me

oh and foreman was never stripped of the lineal title (which was passed to briggs, something that has historically been ignored)
