Except if you are fighting Floyd Mayweather. In Floyd's case he wins all the close rounds even if his opponent is the aggressor right.
I reward aggression that's why I had it 116-112 in floyd's favor Guys just accept it, Manny did worse than Maidana
Let's see how pro fights are scored. Ring generalship(Floyd), Defense (Floyd), effective aggression (Not Manny), and Clean punching (Floyd)
It never changed for ONE guy. Mountains of law suits and changing public opinion are what's changing the NFL. A whole host of teams using one tactic saw the shot clock introduced. You want aggression scored separately just so guys can have an advantage against Mayweather? Grow up mate.
I didn't know this was amateur boxing. Giving a guy a decision because he makes the other guy miss and lands more shots. That's not pro boxing. Pro boxing is about hurting your opponent and being aggressive.
Amateurs are scored by a 10 point must system also. Pro boxing is about effective aggression, Clean punching, Defence and ring generalship.
Yeah, we should do something about Floyd winning a fight where he landed more punches and threw more punches.. I mean.. Manny should win automatically because you like him more... that's the ticket. All that walking forward though.. that's tough.. that's like 12 punches landed right there.. so Pac won... :rofl :nut :rofl
I was rooting for Pacquiao, but this is ridiculous. Effective aggression is already a criterion for scoring. You want to give it extra weight, but not include the part where it even needs to be effective.
Compubox stats don't lie, floyd was the aggressor http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/stor...r-threw-and-landed-more-punches-than-pacquiao
And Pacquiao was more aggressive. He had cleaner and harder punches. His defense was on par. Remember that if you opponent isn't sitting down on his punches who cares if they hit you? They have no effect. Ring Generalship. Both of them showed horrible ringwork. Pacquiao unable to cut off ring and Floyd vacating the pocket within a second.
No, I never said I wanted aggression scored seperately. That was another poster's idea, not mine. All I'm saying is it's not crazy to allow more 10-10 rounds, especially in fights involving Floyd where there generally is lower output then usual.
Same can be said of Manny's shots.. they had no effect on Floyd either. So fight should have been scored 0-0 draw?
