Yes, Poland is not an exclusively white, slavic country. Visible minorities are growing. I routinely now see blacks and east asians speaking fluent polish on polish tv. But in terms of percentages, its still pretty small compared to countries with a colonial history, which is not surprising.

if poland has a Born black fighter and his better then all the fighters in poland then yes he can fight and repesent poland.

but IMO its when your born and when your Proud of the country your fighting for don't matter whos in your past if you adopt the country you were born in.

Most fighters dont live in the country their ancestors are from. Almost all Americans have roots from Europe, Africa, and South America. Does that not make them American? Skin pigmentation doesnt matter, and shouldnt matter. Not sure what the point of this whole thread is..

The op wants everyone to think Poland is some mono ethnic, xenophobic band, from the Middle Ages. No dice.

What REALLY should have happened is that Poland should have kidnapped hundreds of thousands of people from other parts of the world, enslaved them, and imposed their moral and religious values on the rest of the world, destroying local cultures. Then they'd have all the quality athletes they want!

That only applies to about half the countries in the world. The other half, you take the citizenship of your parents upon your birth.

    Dear Sir
    kind regards
I raised this thread because some Poles at ESB accused Lennox Lewis and David Haye of not being British enough due to them being Black.
I just thought that I'd start this thread to give them something to think about and apologize to you personally if any offence has been caused.
    yours thankfully
    John

I dont think many black people live in Poland, ive never been so Im not sure.If there were and these guys were winning belts Im sure the Poles would take them as their own.I have Polish neighbours and they have never come across as racist.I think its a small percentage on here posting these things. One guy starts it and a few others join in cos they like the attention.

It's not about racism because there's nothing offensive in it. It's about settling down cases of nationality and ethnicity, heritage of some fighters. Personally, if some guy that came to Poland from Nigeria, got Polish citizenship and started fighting, I would not claim him Polish as to me being Polish, more than anything means having a Polish heritage. It is not racist or nationalist cause I don't claim that any race/nation is "better" than the other. That's just the way it is in my mind.
