and if he fights at Welter bad idea, unless if its vs Forbes or someone like Lovemore N'Dou

but with Urango taking on Alexander and Khan lining up JMM not many fight options available for Hatton at the moment.

He just needs to pick safe opposition,,, maybe go out with a couple decent wins.

He's gotta be realistic... He's done as a top level fighter.

If he pushes his luck I predict we see him KOed in brutal fashion again before its all over.

Very, very, very unlikely. Please do some research. Please...for you own sake.

What research? If he thinks he can come back and fight top welterweights he is getting KTFO... AGAIN. :dead

While I think he's for all intents and purposes a done fighter, I do miss the excitement and the ravenous fan base he brought with him to fights.

It may have made for some terrible reading (on the boards) but it made for compelling and dramatic television.

    1. When did getting beat by the two very best fighters in the world mean someone was exposed? It is nonsense like this that makes fighters avoid other fighters. Fans coming down on someone like Hatton who fought the two top guys shouldn't have the privilege of watching boxing.

    2. Yes, he is. Mayweather cracked Hatton's chin and it hasn't been the same since. I hope for the best, for him, if he continues to fight.

Hatton has loads more to offer. Who hasnt lost to pac and mayweather? Hes just fought them both...

Plus for the pac fight he was ****ed up, left his best work in the gym and had overtrained. The mans a warrior, a 2 weight world champ with only two crosses in his 47 fight record. Personally i think hel knock the **** out of katsidis. Itl be a great fight but hatton will show just how skillfull he can be against a out and out slugger.

I dont see why not, he still speaks well and I think he still wants it, maybe he should work his way back down to 140 though

I think exposed is the wrong term..but fighters like Hatton do not age gracefully. For instance, There were some signs of decline and his fighting style is just one that takes a lot out of the guy, he spends a lot of time walking into the line of danger to land his very good body shots. On top of that, his weakness to hooks (due to how he often times lunges in at fighters) is becoming more and more apparent. This doesn't even touch upon his questionable training habits.

I don't think Hatton was ever exposed. I just think it was a combination of factors leading to a precipitous decline.

I can accept this post of yours. I just simply cannot accept someone saying something as flagrantly idiotic as that Hatton was exposed. That is just plain stupid.

He can win quite a few bigger name fights, in my opinion.

But when I start to think about Bradley (and posssibly Khan) at Jr. Welter, and pretty much any of the top 5 welters, I get nervous.

And God forbid that he wants to move up in weight.

Physically, I think Hatton can come back in shape but mentally, I'm not so sure. His fight w/ MP really took a lot out of him. If he doesn't change his style of fighting, then I'd rather see him retire.

Well, he could still do alright, but is that enough for him.

I always think that when fighters start changing trainers, leaving guys that have got them to where they are, etc, it's a sign that something isn't right, and things aren't going to go well.

I got that feeling with Hatton for a while, then he left his trainer Graham, ****ed around with Mayweather etc. All of that didn't really bode well IMO.

I think his best days are behind him. He's probably still one of the top 3 or 4 guys in 140, but again, is he happy with that?? And he's not a welterweight IMO.

Plus, he's starting to look like ****ing Skeletor when he weighs in. He always was obviously dropping a lot of weight for fights, but still looked OK. For the Pac fight he looked awful. Still was never going to beat Pac, but looked terrible.

Absolutely he should come back. Since when is being a top 2 p4p fighter a prerequisite for being a professional fighter??? So he lost to Pacquiao and Mayweather. So what? So he got ktfo...so what? Lots of great fighters have been knocked out hard and come back to deliver more great action in the future.

Hatton made a bid to be one of the top 2-3 p4p fighters in the sport and came up short. That doesn't mean he's done. The man could still claim titles and possibly unify the junior welterweight division, and he could potentially crack the top 10 p4p lists again in time. He's 31 years old for chrissake. At the very least, I'd like to see him come back and win at least one more fight against a legitimate opponent before getting out.
