should rocky lockridge be inducted into the hof?

Pedroza and Gomez both could have seen him as the winner...Not necesarily robberies, but I had him winning both of them! His battles with Lopez are awesome to watch, a nice win over Boza edwards, perfect KO of Mayweather...I think he belongs in the hall and at the least warrents a very close look!

 

I'd put him in. Gomez fight was a robbery and he could have won both Pedroza fights as Philly says without them being considered robberies (had first fight a draw and second a 1 point win for Pedroza myself). I think Chavez clearly beat him, but still it was close. 2 point margin for Chavez for mine.

Interestingly, if we think about another guy who will likely never get in, Juan Laporte, I thought he drew with Pedroza and lost the Chavez fight by a point. Either of those fights could have gone his way and they wouldn't have been robberies. Assuming Rocky gets into the HOF, we then have him beating Chavez, Pedroza and Lockridge, which doesn't look shabby at all and starts to look like it merits HOF induction.

 

No, he just was not good enough. Jaun LaPorte was better, but he' s not Hall of Famer either. Well, maybe LaPorte is,it's close.

 

I think so...In an ideal world the hall of fame would be only for the very best of the best but it hasnt turned out that way.

I would hope the boxing experts that choose the inductees would be watching these disputed fights and making up their own mind regarding them.
I also think a good performance in a losing effort should be taken into consideration when you see the calibre of fighter it was against.

Rocky gets in for mine..I think he had the better overall career compared to Juan but I think Juan is the kind of guy who should scrape in given his service to the sport and the quality of fighter he was.
With current criteria I really cant see why not.
