I saw the KO and Marciano hit Walcott on the floor after he knocked him down

It reminded me of the first Roy Jones vs Montell Griffin fight

Should Rocky Marciano have been disqualified?

No, it was a punch thrown in the heat of the fight, similar to the one Foreman delivered in his bout with Jose Roman. It probably wouldn’t have changed anything even if Rocky hadn’t thrown that punch, Walcott was already finished.

Walcott również nie był na ziemi opierał się o liny ze zgiętymi kolanami.

If you watch closely Walcott is NOT on the floor until after the final blow. He is helt up by the ropes like Machen was against Johansson. It is up to the referee to stop boxing and call it a knock down.

No way was that comparable to the Jones situation. Marciano swung as an after-thought, not yet comprehending Walcott was gone. There was some sympathy for Jones’ case in my view but it was certainly a lot more blatant. No chance that’s a DQ against Marciano.

    No absolutely not.
That last punch wouldn't have made a bit of difference to the conclusion of the fight, old Joe was gone.

Joe was gone but it was a cheap shot.
No comparison to the Jones fight. That was blatantly late and a frustrated Jones clearly lost his cool.

False - no part of Walcott had touched the canvas, no KD had been ruled yet by the ref, & no rule existed @that time that considered a fighter down if the ropes held him up. The hook was fully legal.
