Let Peter work on his game, make a few public statements that he's got a new team, has improved his game, and then let him KO a couple lesser opponents, and Petermania will be alive, once again. I would love to see him KO a couple top 15 guys, get his confidence and mettle back, then take on someone like Brewster.

I get a kick out of those who think someone who is top five, shoudl retire merely cause they have been beaten by the top three. LOL

    :huh :huh :huh
Guys would have to go through Peter to get to A Klitschko? WHY? Maybe I could agree a little after Peter fought Wlad, but after he quit on the stool, Peter is nothing but a memory for the Klitschko's and anyone looking to fight them

I meant in the sense that Peter will seperate the boys from the men, If people can't beat peter they don't stand a chance against the klitschko's, but if they do beat peter they stand a legitimate chance at beating the klitschko's, therefore its a win-win situation for peter$$ and the klitschko's cause they don't waste their time with bums

I think he should retire, but he'll fight a few bums and try to come through the ranks another way.

I think he should have made it his own personal responsibility to get into the best shape of his life and prepare to fight like he wanted to make a statement.

I didn't see him throw more than two punches in succession throughout the entire fight, he was plodding, he had no snap on anything, he was slow,.....he just sucked. VK was alright, but Peter was just horrible and the result turned out accordingly.

What I don't understand is how some people couldn't see this coming. I think VK was 100% sure he was going to win this fight.

I must have missed Pops Anderson. Not that it would have made any difference but was he in the corner?

The main question for a lot of people was whether Vitali would be in good health.

i wasn't in any doubt that Vitali would be as good as ever, i was more shocked at what Peter plainly allowed him to do , without coming back with any form of urgency.............

    can't quite understand.......

never that impressed by peter, but altho i haven't seen the fight, it could have been an off night for peter which led him to be utterly dominated (according to reports). given the way peter looked like he improved between toney1 and toney 2, maybe this performance will motivate him to add to his skills (which shouldn't be too difficult given his current skill level). as others have said, he's still a player in this week division and there's still money to be made. he might want to try and drop some mass, to help his speed as i think he looked more dangerous in those early pro fights where he wasn't nearly as big.

He is still young. He has to go back to the drawing board. If he is done boxing that is one thing. He has only lost to two very good heavies.

Considering the way he just got humiliated, and that he's 42 years old, he probably should

Nope, there are still other fights he can do well in. Brewster took a similar beating against Wladimir if not worse in the rematch yet he's still being talked about and discussed whenever he's rumored to fight whoever. Just takes some time for fans to get over the loss and they'll be asking about his next fight.
