Not what Floyd or Pac got em at

When he fought Floyd he was #1 at WW and #3 in the world.

When he fought Pac he was not in the top 10 and he had been active in that prior year.

When he fights Canelo, he won't be ranked nor active. LESS CREDIT.

Shouldn't the fact that Canelo doesn't have the experience or status Floyd and Pac have count for something if he dominates Mosley like they did?

If Alvarez wins by a clear UD or a KO he should get some credit due to his lack of experience and skill compared to Floyd and Manny.

He'll get absolute dick for credit as he should. Its not Ali-Holmes, but it isn't the battle of the Z-boys either.

Only a bit of credit. LMW Saul Alvarez will out weigh Mosley by 15+ lbs on fight night both Mayweather and Pacquiao were equal to quite a bit less in weight then Mosley. Alvarez's usual fight night weight of 171lbs is 6lbs more than MW Sergio Martinez weighed for his fight with Sergei Dzinziruk. Mayweather and Pacquiao were also with-in a decade of Mosley's age, not two decades younger. Lastly, Mayweather revealed that Mosley is physically a shell of his former self. Now due to Pacquiao everyone also knows that Mosley is also mentally gone.

    :yep What Arcane said.

May fought him when nobody else wanted to after he'd KO'd Margo.

    Pac ....on a **** streak.

Canelo....still on that **** streak, but Canelo isn't held to that high a standard yet as Pac and May.

I think Mosley still has something left, Canelo should get credit for a victory! I think he should get the same amount of credit Floyd and Manny got.. People have to remember that Canelo is still a prospect!

It's a showcase fight for him. If he dominates Mosley and KO's him I'll give him credit but if he takes it to a decision or even if he loses more than a couple of rounds he deserves no credit.

To be honest I think none deserve credit, if anyone does maybe a tiny bit it's Floyd. Mosley was coming off the shock win v don corleone but as many have said he looked terrible against Mayorga and had to pull it out the bag in the last few seconds. It was a great move by Floyd but as we saw In the fight Shane was done. I fear for Shane in this fight I can see a 12 round drubbing from a much stronger physical young man.

matters how he beats Shane. If he knocks out Shane in impressive fashion that would do well for him.
