Its entirely upto Briggs, he wants to fight on, dont deny him his right, its his life, who is to say what he should not be doing with it? as long as its within the laws of the land, carry on I say.

I dont want him to get hurt, but I dont want to make his mind up for him, take it outta his hands, thats not right imo.

Yes he should have stay retired when he lost to Ibragimov, so we shouldn't be asking this now.

I don't think Briggs is going to retire quite yet. He still has some name value and outside of landing a big shot he's not likely to beat a good fighter anymore. He would make a good opponent for a youner fighter to face. Someone like Boystov should be calling Briggs if he doesn't retire. I also think Briggs could fight on in the fast growing seniors heavyweight division. Briggs would fit right in with the likes of Holyfield, Rahman, Golota, Tarver,Toney, Grant, Mercer, etc and there are going to be people interested in those fights.

    I think Briggs was retired.
Reminds me of my Uncle who retired from playing Sax with Armstrong, Goodman, and others, yet still played at senior citizen homes and Bar Mitzvas in retirement to make a few extra retirement dollars.
Briggs has done so, and I believe, off to the sunset.
