Should Solis also appeal his TKO/injury loss to Vitaly?

Come on... you clearly have to either be a troll, a huge Solis fan and/or a Vitali hater not to see the obvious holes in this "appeal" thing.

    1) Solis was hit before he went all wonko, fell and his knee bend in a unnatural way.
    2) Even if Solis fell out of himself, and blew out his knee then, the WBC rules clearly state it should be ruled a TKO loss.
    3) The B-Hop vs Dawson fight was overturned because the "injury" (if there really was one) was caused by an "unintentional foul" commited by Dawson.
If the injury had been due to B-Hops own fault or a punch it wouldn't have been overturned.

This debate has been here before.

Yep, clear temple shot. Gotta love delusional cubans :rofl

On what grounds do you want to overturn the decision and make it a NC? What foul did Vitali commit to invalidate the fight? :think

Thank you for posting that video! You can clearly see a slow and weak punch just nipping Solis' top of the head! No one goes down from a weak punch like that! I guess it depends how you want to see it, but to be wabbled the punch has to affect the brain so it has to be a hard punch! This was not a hard punch!

As a matter of fact even Vitaly's hand is moving sloooow, how in the World can a nip like that knock down a fighter who is known to have a solid Chin? The only thing that makes sense is that Solis lost balance ( because of the nip ) and then his knee gave up on him, not because he was dazzed. ;)

Maybe the Liston family should also try to appeal Sonny's KO loss to Ali? :deal

Wasn't that hard, Vitali said so himself, that's what made him so mad... but was this a foul instead?
That's called "slow motion replay" :yep

Stupid thread. Vitali hit Solis with a punch, Solid hurt his knee and then went down. Even if Vitali didn't hit Solis and Solis' knee gave out, he would still lose by TKO. See Valuev vs. McCline. The reason the Hopkins-Dawson fight result was changed was because Hopkins was lifted up and dropped. You would think people would actually take a few moments before started a thread like this. I have come to understand that a large number of people really are just f*cking stupid.....end of thread.

I have seen the real footage and it was still a slow punch, nothing to drop anyone much less Solis who is known to have a solid chin.

I think Solis was too naive or perhaps too new in pro boxing to take advantage and appeal that decision. It should have been ruled a no-contest as his knee injury prevented him to continue, so a no-contest would have been the most fair decision.

No worries, I know that Solis is going to be World Champ whether he fights Vitaly again or not. Solis has much more ahead of him than old man Vitaly. ;)
