His next fight is scheduled against Andre Ward. He has a better chance against Ward simply because Ward doesnt really sit down on his punches so its less likely Taylor is gonna get punished. Should Taylor atleast fight Ward and possibly go 12 rounds and get a lil confidence back in him or do you think its a lost cause? Me personally, I think Ward would beat Taylor but I doubt he would KO him. However, if he fights on its innevitable that he is gonna get KOed again because he has Kessler after that. I think he should get out now tbh.

My main man Jermain needs to call it quits. The Bika feller needs to take his place.

If he's medically able to then he should carry on. People are overreacting on the back of the Abraham fight.

Honestly I think he needs to quit man, or atleast fight Ward and get a check then call it quits because I cant see any outcome for him against Kessler other than a KO. Dude has a wife and kids he needs to think about that. At the same time tho he has to make a living so...

Jermain got enough cash in the stash feller you better believe it.

Jermain got to go cause he's done. He got outboxed by Abraham. Jermain put his soul into that fight but there was no spark.

No one wants to go out on a loss but losing two more fights ain't making things any better.

Yea i can believe that. He is a class act and seems smart enough not to blow his money. I just know some athletes get a check and spend it all the next day.

I think he should fight on. He's lost to Abraham, but he's not without chances...

Holyfield is medically cleared to fight. Long - term brain damage that is not acute yet can only be detecetd with very expnsive brain scans, like SPECT, I doubt that routine medical exams for boxers include these.

Taylor needs to retire. He was undisputed champ at middleweight once and clearly, he will never accomplish something like that again. there are two fighters in the tournament who already knocked him out and those two are not considered the best fighter of the six. Taylor had a good career, if going 12 rounds is a goalnow, as the original poster suggests, it is time to quit.

Why wait until he is medically unable? The medical standards for boxers aren't that strict, as Holyfield, the 46 year old Hearns, the shell of a brain damaged Meldrick Taylor have shown. Do you want him to quit when he looks worse than Holyfield? Have you seen recent interviews with Vargas? Fernando had the guts to fight way past his prime and now he looks like a ******. I wish Taylor a better life than that.

I think Jermain still has some skills - BUT, it's time for him to leave while he can still count his money. Some guys are just never the same after being stopped violently. Fernando Vargas was a GREAT young fighter...and Trinidad derailed his whole career.

Jermain has had some great fights, but 3 KOs in his last 4 fights either merits some serious time off...or a full-on retirement.

Not saying he can't beat some of the guys out there now (including Ward)...but eventually he's going to have to face another power puncher, and take the chance of being turded again.
