What is going on? Why are we making threads asking if the best in the division need to fight the best? And why do we usually have plenty of people with plenty of excuses as to why they should not fight?

I will admit I am also part of the problem. Sometimes i do think like the promoters do and say it does not make business sense.

We have a fight coming up that we are all excited for and to be honest with you this is how the sport should be. We wait 3-6 months to watch our favorite fighters perform and just fighting someone they are heavily favored to beat is not good enough for me.

I was looking through the divisions and thinking of fights that should be made and how much of a buzz they would generate.

    Moreno-Santa Cruz
    Mares-Donaire-Rigo-Moreno-Nishioka
    Salido-Mikey-Broner-Russell
    Vasquez-De Marco-Lundy-Abril
    Marquez-Khan-Garcia-Matthysse-Judah-Peterson-Rios
    Bradley-Berto-Alexander
    Alvarez-Cotto-Trout-Bundrage-Molina-Lara
    Pirog-Golovkin-Martinez-Chavez

Out of all those possible fights that would be great only 5 have been made or scheduled.
    That is pathetic.

Lampley gets alot of hate on here but he was right. We need to do something. We can dictate what we watch.

What is different about this era that the best. Any fght the best? Is it the fear that a loss makes a fighter less marketable hence less revenue. I would imagine more people would pay to see people in against live dog. Thus increasing overall popularity.

Its been going on for years. The best SHOULD fight the best, and whats more, they SHOULD WANT TO.

Through the amateurs, turning pro, even as a teenager new to the sport they claim they dream of getting to the top and facing all the big names, champions and legends. And thats not just boxing, it happens in all sports. FA cup 3rd round is magic, the minnows want to face the Man utds and Chelseas. In the champions league the Icelandic champions want Messi and Ronaldo to grace their humble ground.

Yet in boxing, when they get there its a different story. Its all about career paths and paydays. Its a ****ing disgrace. I get it, i get the promoters wanting reputations not to be broken for a big purse but in sport, any sport, its about pride and proving things. Especially these ****ers at the top, they are all rich as **** anyway taking on a tougher challenge is not guna see them having to claim welfare.
