Should the fight have been a NC?

All these people saying how crooked it was. Have you ever watched PPV fights before? They let way more stuff go because they know people have paid a fortune for it. Watch some **** cards in your life and you'll see guys pulled out right left and centre if they start to take a bit of a beating, get a bad cut, etc. On the big PPVs you almost always get the benefit of the doubt until it's literally impossible.

it's true - in england fighters do carry on with their faces hanging off. (understanding of British humour only - fight in usa)

Barrera was willing to go on, so what can you do? Guerrero wasn't willing to go on last week and the fight was stopped. If he wants to go on and isn't actually in immediate danger, let him fight.

Yeah, WBO & WBA international/intercontinental - a couple of those kind of titles.

I agree with the outcome but we didn't get the answers we were looking for from Khan. I learned nothing new about Khan. Barrera wasn't himself in there and took all of Khan's shots pretty darn well.

Doctors have the ability to stop the fight any time. Either stop him in the first or let him go til he's knocked out, the cut was exactly the same in the first as it was in the 5th. The only difference was that Khan would get the W after 4 rounds, which makes it shady as hell to me. If you're going to let Barrera fight on, why stop him in the 5th round after he's landed a few decent shots?

    Yes.

Was the doctor trying to get MAB to quit in the 4th so it wouldn't be ruled an NC? If so, that would make things even more of a farce than what happened tonight.

    Good post.

On a side note I'll bet a lot of the old-timers will be kicking back saying:
'Call that a cut?? Remember the time when Marciano........' etc
