Katsidis vs Casamayor was a great competitive action fight. Would you like to see an immediate rematch?

Katsidis was knocked down twice early, showed alot of heart and came back with a vengence, landing many big shots until the stoppage. It was really a stupid way to lose, Katsidis ran across the ring throwing wild, wreckless punches and ran right into a punch. He was probably winning the fight quite clearly. It looked he just went all out, looking to stop the fight then and that wasnt needed ( lol, like his normal aggression isn't enough).

    YES!

But i'm almost certain Casamayor doesn't want Katsidis again.

No. Katsidis put up a great effort, but Casa won fair and square and he is not getting any younger. He deserves a big fight.

If Katsidis can work his way back to the world title challenger level, there should be a rematch... but immidiate rematch for an outclassed fighter for a WORLD TITLE is not legitimate in boxing IMO... it's a joke that Paul Williams and Lovemore N'Dou can have a rematch for a world title after they got outclassed badly...

Casamayor-Katsidis was a GREAT fight and I'd like to see a second fight but Katsidis has to put down something on the table, and on the other hand, Casamayor has to fight Santa Cruz if I'm correct.

No. This fight told us everything we need to know about each fighter :D
That was probably Casa's last good performance we will see out of him. He will cash out against Pac (getting his face beaten to a pulp) and Katsidis will go on to give us many more exciting fights and be a great gatekeeper until the punishment has taken its toll

Outclassed? Bull****! He knocked Casamayor's ass out of the ring and pummeled him throughout the middle rounds, I bet he was acctually winning the fight.

i agree with Casa deserving a bigger fight.

i think Katsidid should get a tune up first so he can work on his defense and get some more experience. right now i think Casa beats him again.

Yes he was outclassed. Katsidis did well in rds 4-6, and did knock Casa out of the ring.

But Casa won the other rds, even the one with the point deduction. He was totally outboxing Katsidis in rds 7-9 and in the 10th, he KTFO'ed him.

He does not owe Katsidis anything. Katsidis gave it his all, but was KTFO. And you can't say it was a lucky punch, as he was getting dropped multiple times.

Some of the posters here are idiots. Katsidis wasn't outclassed by any means, as he was wining a very competitive fight (as he swept all the middle rounds) and walked into a punch he didn't see mainly due to being overanxious and foolhardy. Additionally, that was probably the most Casamayor has ever been hurt in his career. He was even more hurt against Katsidis than he was when he fought Corrales.

Casamayor was/is a great fighter (elite with an amazing pedigree). All of his losses were controversial.

Katsidis showed a lot of positives, and he will definitely be much more than a gatekeep. He is a young prospect (with only 24 fights) whowasthisclose to beating a GREAT fighter (and the linear lightweight champion of the world), who showed that he still had fight left him after all.

Casa is just too good of a counter puncher, even at this advanced age. If this were prime Casa, he probably would have blasted Katsidis out early.

i have no problem with the ******* moving on... he dropped kat early and stopped him late... kat showed he was a good warrior and yes, maybe things would be differant in a rematch, but Casa has every right to move on... he is the champion and its up to the challenger to do more then just put up a great effort to get a rematch.

Casa is nowhere near an elite fighter. And Katsidis....well.....he can obviously be outboxed by B level guys

Inside your little head, sure it was an outclassing. Although, to any rational boxing fan could see that Katsidis was bringing the heat and landing many poweful body and head punches. I bet you Katsidis was winning on the judges cards infact, and I beleive Lederman had Michael a few points ahead as well.
