Should there be an asterix on Khan's record?

That was one of Khan's stupidest comments (and that's saying something) considering he was the one that leant in and initiated the head clash.

 

WBA rules boy, After 4 rounds it goes to the scorecards and McCloskey lost each and every round and was outclassed.

Rematch? If Paul won a round or through a combination he might have a case, This was a voluntary defence not a mandatory defence, Its back to fight in leisure centres in Ireland for Paul. Paul just stood infront of Khan for the entire fight and would have ended up lying on the canvas like a sack of potatoes.

Give it a rest guys. It was McCloskeys own fault he lost. He was down on the cards at the time of the head clash hence he lost. I was pissed as anyone with the premature stoppage, but I was also pissed off with McCloskeys negative tactics.

 

To become world champion you must beat a world champion, Team McCloskey were looking for a freebie/handout and Paul should have fought like Ortiz if he really wanted the title.

Like someone already said in this forum asking for a rematch by McCloskey is a complex way of begging. Back to obscurity for Paul.

I'd expect better from Slap and would think he was big enough to admit the better man won, wouldnt expect him to start a thread claiming an "asterix" should be put next to a perfectly legitimate victory. If Paul wants a rematch he should earn it because im pretty sure Khan doesn't need a repeat of last nights negative performance.

The more I read now, there more it looks like Team McCloskey have been the disrespectful ones over the past few weeks and yesterday. And the fans have been on another level completely! Reality check needed I think.

Agree. How team Mcloskey and some of his fans have the nerve to cast doubt over the result after that dire performance is beyond me.
Khan wasn't exactly wonderful himself but Mcloskey was out of his depth here.

 

I'd advise you to watch Omar Narvaez fight to see what wonderful defense really is, if you think that was wonderful defense you're mad.

If the aim of boxing is to bob and weave, stay out of range, try to avoid as many punches as you can, and most importantly, NOT HIT BACK (lol).....then McCloskey won every single round. Yeah, he was making Amir look really bad by not coming to fight.
