Should this be a criteria for P4P rankings?

A really good thought but I would say no. Now perhaps there needs to be another list best "multi-weight fighters/champions" I like this idea.

 

weight divisions don't matter...

simply just TOP Fighters at any weight, who are/might be overall better than another fighter IF they 'could' meet at a particular weight.

i,e IF JCC and Tyson were both MWs, who is likely to be the better fighter and probable winner...

that is H2H

fun and at times an outcome is easier to guess, but all in a bit pointless.

P4P, again, so and so is undisputed atm and has beaten a good few real opponents, so he 'appears' to be the p4p best fighter in the world at the moment. Ok, so does that automatically devalue other great fighters at any weight, and namely in that fighters division(s).

I actually struggle with p4p lists myself. It's an interesting concept and fun at times but it's fantasy for sure.

 

It’s definitely something I take into consideration when ranking fighters but I also think that superb achievements in a single division should be acknowledged. Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and Marvin Hagler for example are still p4p greats in my book even if they are not the best
