Larry Holmes breifly had something like this that he defended against Bonecrusher Smith and I have been hoping tha they bring it back for years.

 

Win or loose, a fight with Mansour would still be a good one, heck, i would like to see them all face each-other.

I'm 100% for an oldtimers circuit like they have had forever in tennis for instance.
With the possibilty for the champ to get a shot at the actual belt. At least in that case you eliminate the chances of the oldies no hopers early and give them a shot at real money.

To me it looked like Monsour had no idea how to fight a taller fighter came up short on so many punches. Thompson isn't too quick anymore and may stay in range but he is a more experienced operator than Washington

I think Washingtons success on defense was because he knew the basics of fighting tall and used his youth and feet to stay away. But he did this at a detriment to his punching. Thompson cant move like Washington did but can punch better. If he can back Monsour up its over
