Should Tony Bellew have taken on Whyte?

Bellew has said he wants a interim fight to keep busy. I don’t think he believes that Haye will be ready either & wants to stay active.

I’d love to see a fight with him and Whyte. Like others have said, I believe he’d outbox him. Whyte is very one dimensional.

Agree with this. Good build up for the Joshua fight and we really get to see what Parker is made of. Good cash out/in fight for Tony too.

I like the Whyte fight too although I dont think they would risk a non world title/Haye HW fight. Coldwell lobs in the towel to send Tony into retirement.

Probably a decent ppv fight but not on such short notice

I think they'd need time to sell the fight and stage a few arguments during completely and total accidental run ins at other fights, that are obviously not staged..

Bellew needs to assume Haye is not going to be fit and schedule in a fight in early Feb.

    Haye will break down again.

Lots of big talk about going to war and dying in the ring rather than losing and then Bellew would have fought like a quivering minge again. And Whyte would of looked like a overweight clown lumbering around after downing a bottle of jack.

Good fight between 2 not very good but at least boxers at similar level. Worth a few quid on ppv.

Bellew is a level or 2 above Whyte for boxing skill. This is just levelled up a bit by the fact that Whyte is a legitimate heavyweight and can no doubt take Bellew’s biggest shots.

A clumsy but confident dick slamming a quivering minge? Live stream on pornhub I reckon.

    No worries.

Promotion is going to scale new heights in 2018. Kalle Sauerland is going to being giving out free coke with ring side tickets/and or pub PPVs and Fat Mick is going to invite every single person who buys his next YouTube PPV to an all you can eat buffet cooked by his wife.

Bellew needs to fight a prime fighter and stop talking so much he won the title talked trash then actually fought trash and then beat a shell of a fight then talked even more and saying he wanted to fight Parker he would get beat up

He doesn’t need to do anything. He gets paid stupid amounts anyway. Why risk it all by fighting a better fighter for less money?

His legacy is set. He was cruiserweight world champion and like him or not (I’m not his biggest fan) but has anyone won a world title in better circumstances? One hell of a story getting up off the canvas at Goodison and then fighting back to win. That’s his legacy set.

    Now for the paydays.

    Whyte fight could happen.

Bellew has only ever fought one genuine world level operator in Adonis Stevenson, and was utterly destroyed. The same thing would happen if he fought anyone world level at cruiser and of course heavyweight.

A lot of people thought rather highly of Makabu, and Bellew utterly wiped him out. It was the night where he finally embodied all the 'bombs away/leave it all in the ring/kill or be killed' talk. Like it or not, everybody has to give him that one.
