Should Tyson be stripped of his titles for testing positive?

Fury should be stripped for inactivity and negligence as HW champion.

He has the brought the sport into disrepute and held up the HW division for a year whilst he pretends he has a bad ankle and then pretends to be depressed, before it comes out he has been on the white marching powder.

Strip Fury and have fights for the belts left over.

Fury's career in boxing is done now.

I could see him making one comeback fight, which he definitely loses and that is it...he may need a comeback as he is pissing all of his money away.

Thing is you'd need to strip other coked up guys too, such as -

1. sugar ray leonard, of all his major titles across many weight divisions
2. strip tyson of all his undisputed HW titles, and
3. strip joe cowardzaghe of his minor unrecognised wbo title in an unwanted smw division. Actually no, no need to strip someone of a title noone actually recognised, wanted, or even knew existed.

 

No he should not be banned for life. It's not PEDs. I don't even think he should be stripped of his title because of it. Refusing to rematch Wlad after Wlad gave him a shot is BS. If he's mentally Fd up then his title should be stripped for others to take it. Noone should be allowed to fight if he does not have his mental faculties.

As much as I like Tyson. And the gaping hole he'll leave in the HW division. With all things added up. Ofcourse he should be stripped and banned. I'm gonna miss the nut case though.

 

There's a difference between recreational drug abuse OUTSIDE of competition (e.g. after a fight) or IN competition (during training camp for fight). VADA forbids coke use in competition, hence Fury was caught abusing drugs, breaking the rules he promised to abide by.
