Should Tyson have been disqualified in the 2nd Ruddock fight?

Golota hit no more below the belt than Tyson did, Tyson was warned on numerous occasions and was deducted 3 points yet continued to do so. Ruddock only reacted to the fouling that Tyson was doing, what the hell was he supposed to do?

I agree that Rudduck responded because of Tyson but if a fighter is looking for a DQ he cant even the score and expect the ref to see one guy more guilty.

A fighter shouldn't have to go looking for disqualification, that's where the ref comes in, the low blows certainly had an effect on the fight.

I don't think you really can compare holding to low blows. I can't remember anyone ever being disqualified for holding, while a world HW championship has been lost on a low blow.

EDIT: But I wouldn't mind Wlad being disqualified for the holding he did against Peters (first fight) or Hearns for his holding against Kinchen.

EDIT II: And, yeah, ironically one of Tyson's early opponents was disqualified for excessive holding. It was clear that he wanted no more, though.

That would be Jesse Ferguson, I bet most people think the highlight knockdown of that fight was the coup de grĂ¢ce....

    This,

but you'd have more chance of convincing Tyson fans there is a man living on the moon, before they will stop whining that the main reason their boy lost was due to Vanders fouling.

In fact it wouldn't have bothered me if Lane hadn't DQ'd Tyson in the 2nd fight because I'd have backed good money on Holy giving more than he got, because he simply intimidated Tyson. If you weren't afraid of him, he became afraid of you.

Bull****! What did Ruddock do? Everything he did was a reaction to what dirty fighter Tyson did.

    this.

Unlike Bowe, Ruddock wasn't rolling around on the floor everytime he was hit.

No, because it would have set up another fight and by then it's just getting boring.

Blame Holyfield for taking his sweet time in giving Tyson a title shot.
