+1. It's a great stylistic matchup, a chance for Hardy to rebuild coming off of two losses and a chance for Amir to step up in competition coming off of two wins. Also, just to say, go Richmond! Amir gets a big win AND we are in the final four!
the last thing Hardy needs right now is too fight another wrestler, especially kos who would take him down at will.
Diego vs Hardy would be intersting, but Diego is in line for a top 5 guy after his "win" over Kampmann. Hardy has called out lytle which would be an intersting fight. Johnson has some good potential if he can keep his weight in check, I wouldn't mind seeing him fight diego.
Diego is another wrestler so i could see him taking hardy down again just like johnson did. Koscheck would do the same but i like how they hate each other. Koscheck has improved his stand up so i could see him fighting hardy on his feet for a while.
I've been thinking about it today and the two fights I'd like to see is Hardy vs. Alves or Sanchez, both of which he could end up being strangled. Am I the only one thinking Lytle is a bad idea? I don't think he comprehends how good Lytle actually is on his feet. His boxing is a notch above most guys, and he'll torture Hardy. He's really not the standup artist people think he is, and with no wrestling to fall back on the worst thing he could do is face a standup specialist. He wants to fight a jack of all trades kind, he's nowhere near good enough to deal with a wrestler and a guy like Kampmann or Lytle could have his life. I hope I'm wrong, I just think hard work will only get you so far. He hasn't the knockout power people think he does either, he's just average. It's a shame because the dude is highly marketable, he's just not competitive enough for the welterweight division. I heard an idea of him going down to lightweight which isn't hugely farfetched. I read on his twitter it was the easiest weight cut he's made, so y'never know. He's just in a wrestlers world, terrible place to be for a guy like him.
Sure, why not? But truth be told Koscheck and Hardy should have fought each other before either one was given a chance to fight GSP.
yep i wanna see this fight bad. If this is hardy's last fight in the ufc then so be it. I heard he might be getting cut after losing to johnson.
If you don't remember when Hardy got his shot it was timing luck for him, kos had been spanked by Alves and ko'd in 1 round by Paulo Thiago not long before Hardy had his shot. So truth be told that wasn't an option.
The winner of this might fight Condit .... who else stands out right now? does Hendriks have a fight lined up yet?
