Should Usyk and Loma fight for Ukraine?

If Ukraine still drafts able bodies in these situations. They might get special exemptions though.

 

They’re both pro-Russian apparently.

Could imagine it though. Usyk fights in the war, Hearn sticks it on PPV and Mitch adds it to AJ’s resume. ‘Only lost to a war hero’.

I really feel bad for those guys and the klitschkos. Hopefully things get better for them soon

 

I think there is a misconception that Ukrainians that have Russian lineage or speak Russian are automatically pro-Russian. Usyk has said he’s against the war if that counts for anything. They both come across as proud Ukrainians to me.

They should both get back there and fight for their country along with the Klitschkos.

Usyk seems quite westernised. He’s also legitimately one tough man as well, wouldn’t want to mess with him.

 

This isn’t going to be a war like it was way back when. It doesn’t matter how tough you are when you are getting bombs dropped on your head or getting rifled from 300 metres.

You still have to fight for your country mate to the bitter end - train for the conflict and fight to the end.

If Povetkin was still active we could see Usyk vs. him. Maybe we can have Pulev vs. Usyk after Usyk's fight against Joshua.

Usyk has gone back to Ukraine tonight. The country has declared martial law. Men aged 18-60 cannot currently leave the country.

Professional boxing is not important compared to war. Barring a very sudden change, it's difficult to see the Joshua rematch happening any time soon.

 

Well done Usyk - a real fighting man.
