Should Usyk help himself to the Bridgerweight belts?

Idk if he could win it at 43. 37 and 43 is a huge difference. We already seen how much Kovalev and Briedis regressed. I doubt he will fight at 43 anyways.

Absolutely not. If Usyk goes for the bridgerweight belts it would legitimize the belts in a lot of peoples eyes when the undisputed HW champions picks them up.

It would be similar to Ruby Bob Fitzsimmons coming back down and grabbing the new Light-heavyweight title.

Bridger will be a thing whether we like it or not, so maybe for a swan song when he has decided to hang them up, he can make a quick stop there.

The problem is that Tischenko has the current WBA version of it, and he's Russian, so not only is there a dangerous optic going on there, but the WBC won't sanction a unification.

Yeah sack that, there’s nothing left for him to do in boxing, the only way is down and fighting at Bridget weight does nothing for him or boxing.
    No more weight classes.
    Enough is enough

Wilder is in line behind Parker, who is far more deserving.

I could see that. I think keeping the belts will be difficult, but Usyk will still be seen as the lineal champ and the man to beat as long as he is fighting at heavy.

I'm glad you said it mate. Parker still seems to be the forgotten man of the division. He's taken care of Wilder and did it easily enough. And then the overrated Zhang.

I have no idea why we are still pushing for Wilder to be included in these discussions. He's been exposed as a fraud.

Keeping all the belts will be impossible.

It sounds like something @choklab would think up.

    No.
Bridgerweight is represented by boxers of the second class.
A who's who of the "stars" in bidgerweight?

No legacy enhancement in fighting at bridgerweight. It isn't seen as a legitimate championship and looks like a poor attempt to gain clout.

After his HW reign, yes, such should be his retirement run as he would be too old already after all. Would also legitimize the division, just like the WBO back in time. Would also free up the HW belts for others.

I've generally rated the lineal title as most important and winning the ring belt next most important if there is no lineal champion. Becoming undisputed is a nice cap in the hat, but not necessary in my opinion. A lot of that depends on how the belts came together. Putting on a successful string of defenses without all the belts would be okay in my mind. Usyk's is already the man, so it would be up to challengers to take away the top spot from him.

Usyk has alreday had 4 championship belts at the HW Division so he doesn't want more belts. Those Bridgerweight belts are BS!
