I think they should do the same as they did last time Vitali was injured. Let Stiverne have his title fight - against the next highest ranked or winner of Haye v Fury. Seems best way forward to me as I do doubt Vitali is really injured and is actually wanting to carry on fighting. I think he's buying time while he makes up his mind. Maybe hoping Stiverne will go away.

Yes! Stiverne has been waiting 2 yrs! V.Klit up his old tricks again. WBC needs to do the right thing and make Stiverne champion!

I think Chisora is better defensively somewhat similar to Kevin Johnson. I definitely think he will give a better challenge than some of the other fighters the Klits have fought recently. Actually I think this is a better fight than Wlad vs. Povetkin.

Vitali is much more of a cashcow than Stiverne is IMO and that's why the WBC lets him get away with it.

It hasn't been that long...there are many, many cases of fighters holding their title for much longer than Vitali.

Vitali will probably make his defense within 18 months of his last fight (Charr, 9/8/2012).

Yes, Vitali's last fight was 11 months or so ago, but his last mandatory defense was almost two years ago.

The last mandatory defense he had was Adamek back in September 2011, WBC Champions are supposed to have at least one mandatory defense a year, and Stiverne has been messed around by the WBC ever since he beat Austin in an Eliminator for the mandatory spot back in June 2011.

It's high time Vitali either fights Stiverne or walks off into the sunset for good and stops holding the WBC Heavyweight scene in statis, and if the WBC had any decency they'd force him to make that decision just like they forced Lewis to back in 2004.

You're all mad at the wrong person. It's not Vitali's fault that wbc is corrupt and has preferential treatment.

Frankly, IBF is the only legitimate belt, and only because of the huge mess that they were in earlier that made them clean up their act.

    IBF>WBO>WBC>WBA

Solis ? And both Chisora and Charr were poor handpicked challenges i completely agree, but reading some posts, you would have thought he has been completely inactive ever since.

Vitali fought Solis in March 2011, six months before he fought Adamek, so Adamek still remains the last mandatory defense he had.
