His resume is **** compared to Wlad's though... in the end, it's about who you beat, not who you CAN beat

    vitalis resume is laughable
yes he did beat peter who barley beat fat middleweight james toney
and he did beat gomez, who couldnt but a grape in a food fight and is a fat cruiserweight
Wlad is the ring champ, he is active and fights 3 times a year and deserves it

I can't believe that so many people consider Wlad's resume better than Vitali's... I mean Vitali had no trouble with Sam Peter while Wlad got knocked down a few times and barely got the decision against him. Same thing with Corrie Sanders, Vitali had to pick up his younger brother's mess ....

If you think Vitali faced the same Peter as Wlad did your wrong.

    No.

Wladimir has been cleaning out the division for years and has hardly lost a round in doing so.

His comp was dubious last few fights, but Chagaev was IMO the best fighter in the division after the Klits, and he hardly laid a glove on Wlad.

I am not a fan of Wlad at all, but there comes a point where you simply have to stop finding fault. This guy is damn effective, and he is rightfully the number 1 in the heavyweight division.

To be honest, I struggle to see how such a dominant champion is not the p4p top 10.

Wlad nuthuggers don't want to admit the truth, old ass Vitali is the best!!! THE PROOF is in the pudding!!! But because Vitali couldn't put away Lennox, they have a love affair with the next best thing, wich is Wlad!!! If Vitali would off beat Lennox, they would put him with J. louis, Dempsey, and Ali!!! As one of the all time greats!!!!!:deal

First, Wlad is the better fighter and I would pick Wlad to win a decision over the older and slower Vitali.

Second, Wlad's resume is light years better than Vitali's resume.

Third, Vitali has been inactive while Wlad fights three times a year.

You're going to tell me Vitali's resume is just as good as Wlad's? Really? Well let's look at Vitali's best win:

    Fat Sam Peter

Wlad surely doesn't have a better win that Sam Peter does he?

Oh wait a minute? Didn't he actually beat a Sam Peter under 250 lbs that was slightly fat, unlike the one that showed up against Vitali? OH **** HE DID! UNBELIEVABLE!

Let's see how they did against common opponents. Vitali beats fat Sanders who look like he wanted to hit the golf course rather than fight. Wlad loses to an in-shape Corrie Sanders. Ok, I guess I'll give Vitali that. Now let's see how they did against Crisp Turd?

    Vitali L TKO 9 Byrd
    Wladimir W UD 12 Byrd
    Wladimir W TKO 7 Byrd

But surely Vitali is more accomplished than Wladimir, I mean he has such an impressive record against top 10 guys!

Let's look at his record vs. the Ring magazine's top 10 ranked HW's:

If we include the HW champion at the time Lennox Lewis, this is what it looks like:

    5-2.

    Let's see who he beat:
    JC Gomez
    Sam Peter
    Danny Williams
    Sand Wedge Sanders
    The Whale Kirk Johnson

Do you see what all those fighters have in common with each other? They were all ****ing FAT. At least w/ Wlad's opponents they actually bothered to get in shape.

But surely Vitali is much better than Wlad, I mean he was ahead on the cards against Lennox Lewis! Lennox Lewis! Never mind winning the fight, winning on the cards is all that matters according to you. Never mind the fact that Lennox came in the heaviest of his career and an extended layoff, Vitali is one helluva beast! Surely nobody's ever done to Lennox what Vitali did right? Right? Wait a minute, I seem to recall weightlifting champion Frank Bruno AHEAD 4-2 against a younger in-shape more active Lennox Lewis.

I never understood how Vitali became such a monster despite the FACT that he's never beaten a top 10 ring ranked opponent that wasn't fat, old, or fat and old.

Vitali wa steh Ring champ and never lost the title, he was proclaimed lineal champ along with that title by commentaters and writers at the time so by their reckoning he must still be since he hasnt been beaten!

As I mentioned in another thread this is as weak an argument as one can make.

No, Vitali was inactive and lost his title, Wladimir is the rightful owner of it now.
