Sure to be inducted. He can't be blamed for the era he was born into.

I hate his fighting style but he beats everyone in the ring and is a class act outside the ring. Maybe the names on his win list don't look so good because actually he is that good.

His constant dedication and self-control are signs of his greatness and total commitment for over a decade in a division noted for natural and lazy weight gain.

We all know to be great in the ring you have to be great outside the ring and not many come near him in terms of that accomplishment at his age. Remember this guy is a serious politician too, but still lives the life.

Based on beating who? What astounding records has he set to even get close to top 30? He's not even the most dominant HW in a notoriously shitty era :patsch

yes, he and Wlad defined this era of boxing. He is already in HOF for all practical purposes.

True, but he also can't be given a free pass for beating mediocre opponents. Especially when he lost to the two best fighters he faced, and didn't beat the same quality of competition that his brother did (regardless of their relative merits as fighters)

It's probably more to do with them not actually being good. This can be gauged by their performances against other less than great fighters. Johnson was mauled by Ruiz. Sanders was iced by Nate Tubbs. Peter was outboxed by Chambers. It's not like these guys would have achieved significantly more if they hadn't fought Vitali.

There's no doubt Vitali will be inducted to the HOF.
