Should Vitali Klitschko pass on a title defense and simply retire?

    Seriously?

I think Vitali-Lewis, if promoted right, would EASILY get more PPV buys than any fight since Lewis-Tyson. It would also change their ATG statuses DRAMATICALLY.

Altho it was great to come back off a 3 1/2 year layoff to win a belt, i don't think you "secure" your legacy by beating samuel peter. There's no point to retire as he looks to have a lot left and I don't know why fans would want him to retire as he's arguably the best out there and can make exciting fights.

Yeah, I saw Byrd's recent loss on ESPN 2, he's better at HW because he's faster than most fighters there, which is why I think he'll last more than a round against VK if they fought again.

I agree Lewis should stay retired. Vitali definitely is still at the top of the division. Judging by the posts about him you can say this: love him or hate him, he generates interest. It would be a shame if he retired now.

If Vitali thinks seeing him in the ring with Lewis is the top fight he can get then he is not serious about being regarded as having a legacy. Its nothing more than a fanboy matchup and against anyone other than Lewis it would be howled down with derision.

Vitali should wipe out these other Euro fighters and recycled Lewis victims and dominate the HW division with his brother and that will propel his standing. Beating an old man does not make you the man - decisively wipeing out these current contenders will

Vitaly Klitschko is a amazing fighter.

Usually, puncher with heavy hands doesnt throw that many punch + doesnt have a lot of staminal, vitaly got all of that.

Nobody can touch him, not evern Wladimir, very bad matchup for Wlad. Vitali is way too intense for is brother.

As bizarre that it might look, im think James Toney need to fight Vitaly Klitschko, it is really a good style for Toney.

You really don't like Toney do you. :yep

You know he would be pummeled like a little boy. I would happily bet on Toney being out of there before the end of round three. And if he stays for all three he will be bleeding from both eyes, nose, mouth and look swollen all over.

I would love to see the spectacle though - because Toney has it comming.

I think he should but the division is so poor him sticking around is a good thing for boxing and he will be successful for a while.

GBP’s Ring Magazine ratings seem very biased against white fighters http://boxing.about.com/od/history/a/ring_80_best.htm

GBP only promotes black and Hispanic fighters except for a few white Muslims.
