Should Ward be allowed to pin his opponents with his head?

I'm not talking about pushing him off I'm talking about walking him back in a clinch. It's alot harder to create angles and makes distance on the inside when you're the one one the backfoot. That might be what makes Ward think twice about lunging in and risking getting caught by counters while he does it. Or at least make him more tentative about it which could create openings

Boy i tell yeah. Some of these guys here have never seen great inside fighting. Ward showed you tonight how it's done.

Yup it was on Green to do something about it - push him off, rip punches, anything but he couldn't do it. effective of ward

Well...Bernard Hopkins has done that his entire career and he's look at as a very crafty fighter...

There is nothing illegal about this. You put your head on the other guy so he can't hit you hard. Ever try to punch yourself in the clavicle lol? That's why it's a good idea to put your head on the other guy's chest.

Julio didn't put his head in his opponents face.
And please do not compare the two. Styles are nothing alike.
Also push him back? That will just leave you wide open for counters.
There was many times when Ward would punch Green with a hook and then hit him with his head right after that.
But I guess no one else sees a problem with that.

Its hard to do that when you have a head in ur face.
Are you guys that stupid. You make it sound so easy. You try pushing or ripping punches at a guy who has their head in your face. You are gonna get punched while you try to do it or headbutted.

It's physically impossible to headbutt a person when your heads are touching.

Its a ****ing boxing match not a tickling contest. Now if Ward had illegal wraps or was rabbit punching then that would obviously be a cause for concern but having his head leaned up on another fighters head is not a big cause for concern.

nah i ain't that stupid. i don't like ward and didn't really enjoy his style tonite, but i don't recall the head "being in the face" all that much= more like mainly on the chest, shoulder etc. the point is as long as he ain't butting it's basicaly legal right, and green didn't try to do anything. forget puching, he didn't or couldn't push back, spin out whaever. maybe he was weak like he claimed. **** he didn't even complain to the ref about it

Pin with his head, punch with his head. Ward can do whatever he likes...at home.

i don't even understand why green was letting ward pin him. later in the fight he was turning ward and getting off the ropes no problem. i don't even think you can pin someone with your head. green just didn't even try to get off the ropes. he let ward do whatever the hell he wanted. pretty pathetic performance by green.

NO. I hate that dirty fighting ****, couldn't stand it when Hatton did it, I don't like it when Ward does it. Only major fight in years I fast forwarded thru half of it.

Ward will eventually meet somone who is willing to fight just as dirty as he does, and when that happens, he'll get his ass kicked because he doesn't have the power to keep a tenacious fighter off of him.
