I don't see why they would offer him any less if he came out and said he's willing to travel, the fight is on PPV over here and I think the arena holds over 20,000 which is sold out.

 

Aside from Mayweather and Pacquiao, who is making huge money in America anymore? The biggest earners in Ward's division are Europeans fighting in Europe. Even young rising stars like Broner can't draw big in America.

Because he proved to be the biggest prize after the tournament. You don't start headlining PPVs for over 500k buys overnight, it takes time, a lot of serious fights and a good promoter to be recognized by the public.

 

Yes I do see him being a PPV star as long as the 0 remains there in the process since that's what the public are attracted to the most. I remember back in 2004 when people said the same exact thing about Mayweather not drawing flies to **** because he's boring and so on, look where he is today. If you asked anyone in 2004 if they expected Mayweather to headline PPVs, DLH style, they would laugh out loud in your face.

 

Broner isn't drawing big in America because he's young and rising, Mayweather didn't draw big either when he was young and rising. Aside from Ali and Frazier who's drawing big in America anymore?, aside from Leonard and Hearns who's drawing big in America anymore?, aside from Tyson and Holyfield who's drawing big in America anymore?, aside from Lewis and DLH who's drawing big in America anymore? Sure, but thats not a guarantee Ward's purse would be way more to entice him to travel. Anyways, travalling abroad isn't a requirement to greatness. A lot of guys do it out of necessity. If ward does, fine. If he never leaves the US, no big deal.
