It seems that Jose Sulaiman just makes one bad decision after another these days. He is making a mockery of the WBC, which is perceived to be the "most important" Alphebet organization in the game of boxing. Two diamond belts in the same division, for the 2 guys that are supposed to fight in the near future??? I'm no business major, but...:think What would Pac and May/Shane be fighting for? What they both already have? It automatically makes the belts worthless, simple logic. Neither fighter has anything to gain as far as the belt is concerned. The WBC apparently just wants all the best fighters to have their belts, ok, I get it, but don't make a mockery of boxing and confuse the poor folks anymore than you already have. Please, stop the madness! Boxing needs new leadership. I say that someone needs to step up and take Jose's place. I know there are plenty of oppertunists who must see the potential here. Take over the most powerful organization in boxing, to save boxing. I say Sulaiman has had his day, it's time to move on.
Fighters should just stop paying the sanctioning fees for all these fake belts. Too bad that will never happen.
I acutally thought the creation of goldenboy would be the start of this, how wrong i was. Jose suleiman is a business man, who will do whatever it takes to make sure he is at the forefront of whatever happens in boxing. once you have that mindstate, the gloves are off, and you expect some of the **** he gets away with to happen. He's a politician of the ******* kind.
Theres hardly any difference. The WBA with their super champion bull**** and asking for half a million to sanction Shane vs Floyd? Or the WBC creating another of these crappy diamond championship belts when Manny already holds their diamond belt at 47?
yeah world silver champions and world champions plus few diamond belts is still slightly better than regular world champions, super world champions and toons of interim champions... If Sulaiman retires his son will most likely elected to be the next lifetime president, so who cares? the boxing needs more Rocchigianis to clean up the mess..
