There has been a few posts exclaiming peoples annoyance at how many fighters enter the ring a few weight classes above the one they are fighting in.
This often leads to big weight disparities in the ring between 2 men who are nominally in the same weight class.

oh,you know all this stuff already...heres a bit more outlined criteria of the poll options.

1.KEEP THEM AS THEY ARE-IF YOU CAN MAKE THE WEIGHT THATS THE OPPONENTS PROBLEM.HE CAN DROP DOWN A DIVISION IF HES SMALLER.

2.SAME DAY WEIGH IN,THAT WAY BOTH GUYS ARE NEAR THE SAME SIZE AND THE DIVISION WEIGHT LIMIT

3.SOME TIME IN BETWEEN COMPROMISE(WHATEVER TIME THAT WOULD BE)

EDIT:FEEL FREE TO ELABORATE GUYS BTW.:good

i voted yes, thus forcing fighters such as paul williams, celestine caballero, maybe kelly pavlik, all to move up to a weight division that they should be fighting at! big men picking on smaller men in lower weight divisions is a joke. ****ing fight men your own size and dont loose 20lbs and re-hydrate to fight smaller men. in all fairness, caballero is the worst. he doesnt even fight 122 men, he goes for former flyweight campaigners and i think he is 5"11. change the rules so we can see fighters who are evenly matched in weight.

imo, no. if you can make the weight, by all means fight in the division. cutting weight is also a double edged sword, mind you. there are not only benefits, but also risk's present. guys like haye, would'nt have the career's they do with out cutting weight.

I voted no, but only because I think there should be two weigh-ins - one the day before, and one the day of the fight. That's the only way to ensure that people are fighting at their natural weight class.

There's an old saying, it's not cheating if everyone is doing it. People think that if there were same day weight ins guys like margarito would have to fight bigger guys and that is just not the case. he would be fighting the same exact guys they would just be weighing more.

I like the idea that other posters mentioned. a 24 hour weigh in with a max weight gain before the fight.

Max weight gain is not economically feasible, because you would have to cancel even more fights with two weigh-ins.

I don't think same day weigh-in's would change much, except cause more injuries. I think the best way to deal with weight loss is to have boxers get a yearly physical where a doctor would specify a minimum safe fighting weight.

there needs to be same day weigh-ins

the only reason why it isnt today is because the promoters want to make more money by making the weigh-in a special event
