Same day weigh ins worked great for decades, the health consequences were statistically insignificant. The current system is a sham that destroys any idea of weight classes. The fighters who actually honor the rules are screwed immensely. Boxing shouldn't adjust the rules to accommodate the health of guys who want to beat up on smaller men.

Hell yes. This would change the outcome of alot of fights! This is definetely needed in boxing.

Whats the near precise gap these days between weigh in to ring time?About 36 hours?
Or does it depend on country, state organisation etc?

Boxing needs to seriously consider doing something about it.

Not until a better alternative is made. There's a reason the weigh in was moved up a day. To protect your brain better. Some of you need to use yours.

Yes I'm all for it . . . what's the weight class for . . . if fighters are allowed to fight with more than 5 or more lbs differences?

The "weight classification" doesn't serve it's purpose.

Same day weigh ins seem logical, I would support them. There might be more injury's and deaths though.

That's precisely WHY they ended them, brain injuries due to dehydration.

I agree with psychopath. Why have weight classes when fighters dont even respect their weightclass?
