If you are admitting there can be a label for one P4P fighter in history, then you are admitting there can be a label for one P4P fighter at the present, too.

Just use the same standards that came up with you thinking Sugar Ray Robinson is the #1 P4P (which 90% will agree with you).

No, the term was created to described the greatness of SRR..les once it's been manipulated to create this subjective list....

SRR was it alone as the P4P, it was not until the later it became a fad!!

Not stupid if Bradley's division is much better.

Should, for instance, Manny Pacquiao or Carl Froch ( neither currently #1 in their division) be ranked behind Hekkie Budler simply because he is #1 in a weaker division?

yeah i mean its weaker but how can you actually gauge that one guy is like 5th best and the other guy is no1 but he other guys ahead and the no1 cant do anything about it, we could argue all day about who should be where and theres no real answer

Yeah, Mayweather has been on top too long, let's just do away with the dam thing and while we are at it , let's get rid of fighter of the year, decade etc. Hell, get rid of the belts too and fight of the year for that matter. It don't mean **** anyways.

OK but Sergio Martinez was "the man" at 160... but the version Cotto beat wasn't even 50% of "the man" but we're supposed to believe Cotto is Lineal champ? No thanks, I'm smarter than that.

In boxing history, this exact issue has happened many times...is part of boxing, a number of time this same set of events created some great historic rematches!!
I am not saying Martinez v Cotto rematch would be historic since I think Sergio has nothing yo look for with Cotto....all I am saying is part of the sport!!
