Should we reclassify what is a "World Champion" ?

    It seems pretty unfair that some average, even poor fighters get to fight for vacant WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC titles and win and then be called a world champion because they have won a vacant title, that the champion gave up because the mandatory was not a big crowd puller.

    Also, will history not classify Joe Calzaghe as a world champion with the Ring belt at lightheavyweight (he beat Hopkins and Jones) but classify Clinton IBF Woods as being one? (lost to Jones and Johnson).

    We need one champion, regardless of alphabet titles.

    thats why we have the term "belt holder", "ring champion" or "lineal title"
    to distinguish the true champions from the one time lucky shooters
