Yes he is probably the #1 boring fighter p4p but he does fight the best if that means anything in the heavyweight division.
I think of the words John Ruiz and respect and then I see in my mind him dressed as Dolemite saying how he was going to make Roy Jones his "Ho". I think of him faking low blows against Holyfield and others, I think of his bitter whining after his losses. So I guess I can respect he's been in there, but I just can NOT give it up to him...
Anybody who loves the sports . . . should respect all fighters. Boring or not . . . they do have a contributions to the sports that counts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKDvkcLe0K0 You know, I was going to just post this for a laugh, but to come back and make any kind of a career after a loss like this takes balls. So at the end of the day, I hate his style, but I respect the guy.
of course we should..we should have some sort of respect for every fighter that gets in there whether we admit it or not
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=19722&more=1 Apparently, he's got enough self-love to offset all the posters in every forum ever. Supposedly, Chris Arreola, Eddie Chambers, Kevin Johnson and Brian Minto have been talking smack about him. Ruiz/Chambers... yeah, that's exactly what the people are clamoring for. :tired
Sure it takes balls to get in the ring - and in that sense Ruiz does deserve respect. But he deserves NO respect for what he does AFTER he gets in the ring - which is to CHEAT by holding excessive, and even worse, faking low blows in several fights. That **** deserves NO respect.
he took his balls???? he knocked him dead and he rebounded to fight 36 even rds against evander and fight everyone under the sun never to be stopped again....get a clue...ruiz may not be the most talented but he has ****ing balls of steel
does he deserve respect for the holyfield trilogy...evander was dirty so john was dirty...he won that second fight by rocking evander late and taking the championship rds...he commands more respect than u ever will
The second Holyfield fight actually saw one of Ruiz's most disgraceful moves - faking a "low blow" when hit with a legitimate body shot to avoid getting counted out. He'd tried this move before and gotten a crucial point deduction that helped him "win" a dispute split decision against Jimmy Thunder, and pulled a similar move against Kirk Johnson. It doesn't get much more disrespectful than that.
