MMA is frustrating to watch, even boring. These guys spend most of the time doing exactly what we hate to see in boxing - clinching worse than John Ruiz. Pro women boxers have better punching technique. And if the ref sees a bloody nose they stop the fight. What's made boxing dramatic for decades is the uncertainty, stretched out over several rounds. A boxer who's knocked down or hurt in one round may come back to score a knockout. That seldom happens in MMA - usually the first time a guy gets hurt that's the end of it. And while rematches in boxing are often scheduled within six months, MMA grudge matches seem to be stretched out for years. I don't wanna accuse MMA of being rigged - the fights themselves aren't - but the management and promotion seems to be.
