We weren't talking about me, however, but for another poster who voted 12 thinking of his favourite fighter (a reason I DON'T have a problem with). Personally, I prefer 12 first of all for the fighters' health and safety. 15 IS more exciting, but more brutal and dangerous as well. I also believe half (or more?) of today's fighters wouldn't perform as good in 15rounders, and it would be a shame to see good boxers not have a good chance of winning fights and championships just because they would "gas out".
We never should have gone away from it - and wouldn't have if it wasn't for the TV networks wanting to "fit" fights into shorter time slots.
no....it was costing alot of fighters they're health, and some their lives, thats why they changed it in the first place
Maybe in title fights it would be suitable. Or if a title fight is scored even after 12 then an overtime period of 1-3 rounds would have to be fought. Iduno. I'm just thinking out loud. :think
Cant it be 15 RDS for Runners vs Runners, 12 Rds for Runners vs Brawlers, 10 Rds Brawlers vs Brawlers?? lolz ofcourse they will be classified according to how they box. i want 15 rds back...clearer winner....plus the corners or refs can always stop a fight if they see someone in danger.
No. All that would happen would be that people would fight at a slower, more measured pace. You wouldn't get busier fights, you wouldn't get better conditioned fighters, you'd just get slower fights.
