Should Wilder be allowed a soft touch after Fury?

    He fought Ortiz in his last fight, who everyone avoided like the plague, and Fury next who's the lineal champ. So should Wilder be allowed an easy title defense next after Fury, providing he wins?

    I dont think hes ever guna want to lace up the gloves again after the Fury fight.

    Yes he will that's why hes fighting fury ...for two paydays.

    He knows against Joshua hes only getting one.

    He's built his career on soft touches (apart from the legendary Nichols of course). Now is the time for Windmill to actually fight some decent fighters.

    He has his mandatory vs Breazeale which will be past due after the Fury fight. I don't mind him fighting Breazeale if Joshua is fighting Whyte. Breazeale may not be the best opponent but he's a solid defence.

    Wilder has an easy test next with Fury and has fought nothing but easy tests prior to Ortiz.

    Wilder considering his team are refusing to fight AJ next should look to fight next best opponents be it Whyte, Usyk, Povetkin, Parker, Miller etc. It won't happen though, expect Breazeale and Kownacki.

    I think Joshua deserves a few soft touches. The guy has done nothing but step up to the next level of competition since he became pro.

    No. Fury is a soft touch at this point, and it's the duty of the champion to always take the toughest challenger. After Fury, he should fight Joshua. If not Joshua, then maybe Whyte, Povetkin, or Parker.

    Since he has fought nothing but soft touches to date, an since there are dramatic question marks over Fury's head, it might be nice to see him fight an unquestionable hard man before he takes a breather.

    no more soft touches. after fury it should be aj if not aj then fight a top contender. breazale or whyte.

    No more soft touches for Wilder. I want him in against the best of the best, the guy is great, why give him a free ride?

    Because he took so long to step up he finally needs a break?

    A champ goes after the best. He is 33 ffs, let’s do it.
