Take the money and just learn how to control distance (should never be on the inside) and box off the back foot

Wilder is a killer that just hit a big speed bump but can recover

Not sure what the IBF and WBO mandatory situations would be like if there were unification fights in the offing. I know they can exempt for one, but would a rematch also be included? Shows the complexity of the situation I guess....

All these years boxing and the subject of control of distance or boxing off the back foot never came up?

The question should really be should Finkel, Wilder's master, take the money. We'll have to see what Finkel decides to do. He seemed determined to activate in the post fight presser, comparing it to a life insurance policy. I'm sure he and Arum will determine what's best for them in the long term. Hearn is their enemy and they enjoy sabotaging him.

I don't know why people think Wilder can't fight off the back foot, he did it versus Stiverne very effectively and against French guy too.
Fighting off the back foot against Fury is different, though. Nobody is that big, long and fast, so the normal things aren't likely to work so well. Wilder is a POS but people are a little hard on him in terms of not being able to deal with Fury in that form. Cunningham was the size of Wilder in the first fight, considered very skilled/trained as a boxer and it didn't stop Fury getting to him, because Fury is too fast and good a mover to just box and move around and he's a good counter puncher, strong mauler etc. If you can't KO him, what are you gonna do!
