If the cut reopens he would be silly not to try and take advantage of it. Obviously.

So Wilder looked good for 10 seconds of a 36 minute fight!! Fury looked pretty good for the rest, to the point he was laughing in Deontays face while Wilder wildly swung and missed again!! Go watch the WHOLE fight again not just those 10 seconds where Wilder landed!

wow! so besides the first 5 seconds of each time fury got put on his ass, he was making wilder look like an amateur the rest of the fight? is that where you want to start a discussion, at that level?

The problem now wilder knows about the eye injury he could be thrown off any form of intellectual game plan, repeatedly hoping to open the cut.

Like the first fight, so desperate to KO fury he was missing and over extending. He can’t be suckered in to hoping he opens it bad, fury will read it all night

Why are you so confident fury loses?

If Wilder wins a round, ill be proud of him. It will be his career achievement.

Worryingly fury seemed easier to hit .not good against wilder one shot is all he needs.

Wilder would be stupid not to hit him there.

The problem is Deontay landed around 3 punches total in 12 rounds so for him to "target" something the size of an eye socket is reaching too far. He had trouble targeting the entire 500 sqft of Fury's body surface.

Yes. Wilder will try to target the eye. It's part of the game. Notice I said try. Wilder's not a pin point accuracy guy. He does have crazy thudding power though.

I fully expect Wilder to try to exploit the scar tissue around Fury's eye.

Of course he should and will. It’s boxing and totally legal. Of course, targeting and hitting are two different things. Wilder hit a lot of air in the last fight, I’m pretty sure he wasn’t aiming at air.

Lots of fighters get cuts and they usually get worse as fighters age. Furys cut was pretty bad and in a bad place. He has sufficient time to heal and I don’t think it will be a problem.

Wilder hits so hard, if he connects, the cut will be the least of Fury’s problems. I’d be more concerned if he was facing a southpaw, accurate puncher like Usyk. He could sharpshoot that eye and open it up early. He doesn’t have anything close to a Wilders power but he’s accurate. Bigger threat to Fury than Wilder, although I doubt fury will ever fight Usyk.

Obviously he should. Just not to the detriment of his wider attack.
