Y should he?? He can run the division and make a ton of money for at least another 2/3 years.

No. Maybe Vitali should retire and let Wlad dominate on his own but the younger Klitschko is the best in the division and should beat as many challengers as he can before age does get to him.

I want both brothers to retire as great champions, wich they truly are. They must retire when they're on the top of the game. They've got nothing more to prove....
I hope they both retire very soon. But belive me, people will miss them when they're gone....

No, certainly not. Let's not forget Wlad can still take on Solis and Arreola who are still young in this division and would make for good fights.
Adamek win or lose against Vitali would be another worth while name to add to his cv as well. Helenius is another good match up to be had down the line somewhere. Who knows, maybe even Valuev may make a come back.

Wlad has 2-3 years left at the top.

Once he gets sparked he should hang them up.

God no. Vitali won't be around much longer and if Wlad goes as well, the division would be devoid of any good fighters. Heavyweight division is poor despite the Klits, without them all hope would be gone, it would be a joke division.

You'd get even more cruisers and light heavies moving up to earn bigger purses against a weak bunch of heavyweights. Christ even an oldie like Hopkins might consider a move up if all he had to contend with were guys like Arreola and Chambers. Haye and Adamek would most likely win a vacant title but it would still leave a couple of others that would be easy to take.

Wlad could rule this division for years to come. Vitali is past his best and he is still dominating everyone he faces. Wlad could try to beat Joe Louis' record for longest ever title reign, he's already held a title for about 5 years and I can't see anyone on the horizon that would even trouble him. If he could actually reign for that long his legacy would be guaranteed, he may have ruled a very weak era but his dominance and longevity alone would do much for his ATG standing.

I can't see that he has anything left to prove now. There is a danger that he can become complacent, especially after the Haye fight. I think after Vitali beats Adamek both could retire happy. They may want to clear the Boystov's and Helenius's of this generation, but I can't see that it would significantly add to their respective legacies.

It's his job and primary source of income. If his health is fine he should keep on going to harvest the big pay days and improve his legacy with numerous title defenses.

Also to the guy that made the long post about 35 being old for a heavyweight back in the Thirties or whenever - you're significantly ignoring the improvement in sports science and athletic conditioning. The same rules do not apply and it has little to do with the 'depth of talent'. In my opinion, of course.

I would beg him too. I do not think I sit through another sparring session of his , I mean title defenses.

    :good

He has a few more good years left and as to the comp, theres povetkin helenius solis chisora possibly a haye rematch and there will be a couple others ready in a few years that I dont see yet. Hes only taking one, maximum two fights a year now and at this rate wont lose too much substance. He avoids getting dragged into brawls too as thats not his style and doesnt get hit too much, I think he's got at least another 3 years at the top.
