lol.. The links he posted go against his false claim that Wlad tried and and failed to secure a rematch. They prove the opposite , they prove he DIDN'T want an immediate rematch.
No wonder he refuses to discuss it.

Just be thankful he didn't pound on Holyfield, Tyson, Moorer and others in their finals years. Wlad defended against many younger men past age 35. Look it up. He did not pick on guys older ( age 36 or more ) , in almost all cases as champion.

Its already been said, the Purity fight was a fluke. Wlad was at low weight, ill, and fighting in front of his home town for the first time. Purity was a rubber man, and Wlad had not gone past 8. All Wlad had to do was slow down, or have his corner tell him to take his foot off the gas. He was too muscle bound back then, a bit like Joshua now and punched himself out late without a Brittish Ref to spare Purity from getting hit more.

Sanders caught him, plain and simple. By the time Sanders re-emerged from the beating by Vitali gave him he never secured a fight to get him highly ranked and his prime went away.

As far as champions go, Wlad pretty much fought everyone. He did not pull a Jack Johnson, or Jack Dempsey and avoid the 1-2 best.

You could even argue Holmes was more risk adverse than Wlad was in terms of skipping some opponents, and that's saying something.

If you want to go by which champion defended against the most ring magazine ranked opponents, Wlad will come out in the top 4. Far better than just about anyone. Maybe Louis had more, but look at who some of those guys were who were ranked.

So ? Joshua had never gone past 7 rounds when he knocked Wlad out in the 11th . The 11th round is when Wlad was knocked out by Purrity. Even Wlad at 40 was a lot better than Ross Purrity.

And imagine the pressure upon an 18 fight novice fighting in front of 90,000 people at Wembely arena against an opponent that was vastly more experienced.
I can tell you it was a lot more to carry than 24 fight Wlad fighting in a small arena in the Ukraine.

That loss is no fluke since Wlad went onto lose in almost the exact same way to Brewster.

    You. Should. Read.

Corrie Sanders will be allowed one voluntary defence of the WBO heavyweight title he so easily wrenched from Wladimir Klitschko’s grasp before he is contractually obligated

    are considering an interim fight

Midway through 2003, Sanders, 39-2-(29), badly cut his right hand on a sliding glass door

    expected December return.

    Moli fight in August

Yeah , I read that. He was allowed go and make a defense of Wlads WBO belt because Wlad chose not to take the immediate rematch.
Its not rocket science we're dealing with here. Immediate means now , as in right away. An immediate Sanders rematch was too much of a risk. Your links prove that.

Emm , no.. You're taking two different links and splicing them together.

This is payback time for me. Money plays a big part but I also want to be the WBC heavyweight champion and a three time champion. I know the WBU and WBO titles are not the best titles to have but the WBC is the most prestigious and I’m very grateful for the opportunity.

Midway through 2003, Sanders, 39-2-(29), badly cut his right hand on a sliding glass door but insists that injury has now fully healed.

That was after Sanders dropped the WBO belt. While he had the WBO belt he was exploring a defence against Roy Jones. He was in that position because Wlad chose against taking the immediate rematch.

Despite confirmation by Jones jr, promoter Murad Muhammad (August 7 edition of USA Today) that the fight was set, for Saturday November 8, it appears that Roy will pass on the opportunity to fight the heavy handed south paw.

The reason behind Roy's sudden disinterest coincides with the decision by the WBO to strip Corrie Sanders of their version of the heavyweight title for opting to fight Roy Jones rather than make his mandatory title defense against Lamont Brewster. Roy has made no secret of his affinity for championship belts and apparently is unwilling to fight Sanders unless the WBO will sanction the fight.

Also , Vitali told Sanders in the ring right after he beat Wlad that he would have to fight him next. Later that year he confirmed to Larry Merchant after he beat Kirk Johnson that Sanders would be his next opponent.

The plan wasn't for Wlad to fight Sanders after a few tune-ups. The plan all along was to have Vitali step in and avenge his little brothers defeat.

You SHOULD be thankful he didnt get in the ring with 30something Holyfield for sure, Evander would have tore his head off. Tyson cared the pants of the Klitschkos, they wouldnt face him when he was 34.

I see unskilled bums on the whole, though he did make a few fair defences.

shame thats mostly said by you then. Purity was too good for wladdie.

his prime went away? hahaha he was already retired you daft nut.

Vitali was often number 2. They tagteamed, which is the polar opposite of what you claim. ha.

absolutely not, wlad would get bowled out by nearly everyone of holmes challengers if he got easily obliterated by a retiree from the late part of holmes time in the ring.

No kidding, because you don't understand the time line.

The interview is from 2004 with the Vitali fight set. He is discussing an injury that occurred in June of 2003 and that he is just now getting back in the gym from. Hence the reason, he showed up fat against Vitali.

Wlad vs Sanders 2 was supposed to happen in December of 2003. Sanders was allowed a voluntary defense BEFORE being contractually obligated. Dr Chris Rybarczyk and Universum instructed Wlad for health reasons to take 3 months off before getting back in the gym.

This is why, I didn't want to go into this, because it all goes back to stuff that's already covered there. and I'm stuck copying and pasting snippets from the same place you should have already read them before replying.

This is nothing new and is already covered in my post.

The burden of proof is on you. Good luck proving that was the master plan all along.
